Darth Maul lego minifgure – a custom minifig creation by fbtb

this closeup of the new 2011 lego star wars Darth Maul minifgure shows the new ‘hat’ think with the horns on it, looks really cool, and i’m wondering if the piece is actually more useful that simply for darth maul, as far as custom minifigs are concerned could this be a way of having bald minifigs without the little stud at the top of the minifig’s head? you’d simply saw off the horns..could be quite cool, what do you all think?
