these are the two faced metal molds used by brickarms, the plastic is injected in and fills the space creating the item, each of these molds costs several thousands of dollars, but is capable of making several hundred thousands of items, fitting more than one item on each mold means you can get even more items from 1 mold. as for the colour of the items, thats just a simple case of changing the colour of the plastic, as for the cost of the plastic, thats pretty minimal relative to the cost of the mold. all in all this means that whilst it would have cost a bomb to setup brickarms as a business, now that the molds have been created, they are really raking it in. and good on them they deserve the success.
