VDV stands for Vozdushno-Desantnye Voyska which are the Russian Airborne Troops. First formed before World War II, the force undertook two significant airborne operations and a number of smaller jumps during the war and for many years after 1945 was the largest airborne force in the world.

This Russian VDV Custom Minifigure has been nicely painted in the commonly used Russian camouflage pattern Arbuz. There are two common techniques used to paint camouflage and that is by hand with a very fine brush or with a sponge.

The beret is also nicely painted and overall a great minifigure!
